Eggs from Hens on Pasture

The hens live in the pasture year round. They eat bugs, grass, and grains. We are able to fed them local, non-gmo grains which is a huge blessing. These laying hens bless us with delicious eggs all year long.

What’s the fuss about these eggs? More of the good stuff like Vitamins A and D, less of the bad stuff like cholesterol and saturated fats! Eating a more nutrient dense diet can impact your health! Learn more at https://www.eatwild.com/healthbenefits.htm

Price is $4.25/dz. Bring a cartons, if you have them.

If you’re out and about and can not get to the farm you can buy them at several spots nearby.

Pasture-raised broilers

Raised on the pasture in portable shelters these chickens get to experience the sunshine, eat bugs and express their chicken-y nature. They are fed local non-gmo grain as well.

Living a more natural life is great for the chicken but there are health benefits for you as well: more vitamin D, Vitamin A, omega 3s, less cholesterol and less saturated fat. Learn more at https://www.eatwild.com/healthbenefits.htm

When you cook them you will notice the wonderful texture of the meat—significant improvement from the mushy mass produced chicken. Another cooking delight is the juiciness that stays in the meat with cooking.

Available all year in the freezer. Chickens range from 4-6 pounds each. They are whole and frozen. Many people like to fill their freezers with a year supply so they don’t run out.

Price $4.00/lb

Raw, Grassfed Milk

After fifteen years of daily milking, we are sunsetting this season of our lives. It has been a great pleasure to serve our community and region with this much needed, nutrient-packed, versatile food that we all love. Thank you for all the good memories and amazing friendships.

Though we love our milk, and know that you do too, this is our final year. We will continue to serve current customers as long as we have milk, possibly until October. We will not be accepting new milk customers in 2023.

Unpasteurized, unhomogenized, “raw” milk with the cream floating on the top from our Jersey and Jersey-cross cows bottled in glass containers—it just doesn’t get much better than this.

Many may not be aware of the significant health benefits of unpasteurized, unhomogenized milk from cows fed a natural diet. Read more about Milk as Medicine at https://www.realmilk.com/milk-as-medicine/.

Milk is very dependent on the grass so spring through fall is when we have the most. Milk volume is highest April through October.

Family Friendly Farm Milk will generally last five days from the time you open the bottle. If you open a bottle that is from today or from last week, you should still get about five days. If it isn’t lasting, check your refrigerator temperature as milk must be kept cold.

Ideas to preserve the sugars in the milk. Keep it cold. Bring a cooler to transport. Use ice in cooler if you’re more than 30 minutes away. Place in coldest spot in the refrigerator. Pour and put back in the refrigerator rather than leave on counter or table while you eat. The good bacteria are still living in the milk. If you warm the milk the bacteria eat the sugar, if they eat enough then the milk sours. It’s no longer yummy for cereal but still good for pancakes!

We have had a delightful time making different things with our milk. I’m sure you will want to as well. There are many online recipes to make butter, ice cream, yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese, easy mozzarella, farm cheese and so much more. Get experimental and have some fun!

Grassfed Beef

We have always sold our grassfed beef, mainly as ground and roasts from the dairy cows that didn’t make the cut as a milk producers. With us exiting the dairy scene we will be transitioning out herd to black angus, well known for their great steaks.

As health has declined in America, there are many searching for a better way. We are pleased to share with you the health benefits of grassfed beef from higher omega-3s, vitamin E and ALA to lower saturated fats—so many blessings. Learn more at https://www.eatwild.com/healthbenefits.htm

If you’re interested in buying beef in bulk, let Matt know.

(Available soon) Farm Stays, AirBnB, VRBO, On & Off Grid Camping

We have a couple places we use when out of state family visits us that could be used by others when not in use. We are exploring the idea of welcoming guests for farm stays where they can get quality time outdoors, have a peaceful place to relax, a quiet getaway spot or even do chores with us.

The pond has a paddle boat and is stocked for fishing. We swim in it but the bottom is a bit goopy.
